CW Ohio, Inc. CW Ohio, Inc was founded in December, 1991 after Cascade Wood Products purchased Webb Manufacturing, Inc. (founded 1948). Webb Manufacturing produced decorative windows in wood, vinyl and urethane clad, decorative louvers, cupolas and window grille inserts. CW Ohio, Inc. continues to manufacture the same product except the window grille inserts that ended production in September 2017. Over the years CW Ohio, Inc. has diversified by starting several new product lines. 1992 CW Ohio started the manufacture of urethane capitals and bases for wood columns made by Turncraft. The unique feature about the urethane capitals and bases is the fact that they form a moisture barrier between the wood column and the concrete or wood mounting surface. Prior to this the capitals and bases were made out of wood. 1994 under the direction of Cascade Wood Products, CW Ohio started manufacturing PolyClassic Fiber Glass Reinforced (FRP) composite columns. This product line enhanced the wood architecturally correct columns already manufactured by Turncraft. Initial column production forecasts called for manufacturing 100 columns per day. By 2005 CW Ohio was producing 1,800+ columns per day. 1997 CW Ohio started manufacturing PolyClassic extruded thermoplastic window parts chiefly for the exterior of double hung windows. The extrusion process produces thermoplastic millwork to have a density that closely mimics wood. The composite moldings cut, machine and receive fasteners much like wood moldings. All of the thermoplastic moldings are profiled on typical wood molders to full size millwork specifications. 1999 CW Ohio purchased Focal Point located in Georgia. Focal Point was also an FRP column manufacturer. CW Ohio continued to operate the company in Georgia until 2003 when all of the machinery used to make the columns re-located to the Conneaut facility. 2006 CW Ohio purchased equipment to start manufacture of Pultruded square columns. The load bearing columns are manufactured to have a very high fiberglass content and be a lighter weight version of our PolyClassic Square FRP columns. 2008 CW Ohio moved the production for the popular Timesaver capitals and bases from Erie, PA to the Conneaut Facility. Injection molders were purchased for the production of the capitals and bases along with other parts that are used in the various product lines CW Ohio operates. 2017, CW Ohio purchased Timeless Architectural Reproductions, Inc. in Rosewell, Georgia and moved the operation to Ohio where they now manufacture both decorative FRP caps and a marble and resin composite balustrade system.
